- A driving license

Entering Nepal from India by Road
- Cars with Indian registration numbers can stay in Nepal for a maximum of 30 days in one calendar year. It cannot stay in Nepal for more than 30 days in a year even on payment of extra charges
- You need to have a pass for the number of days you intend to stay in Nepal. It costs between NR 100 to NR 500 per day, depending on the type of vehicle
- You must exit Nepal before the expiry of the pass duration. In case you want to extend your stay, you must exit and then enter Nepal on a new pass
- You must have the pass with you at all times for inspection by authorities at any time. You need to surrender the pass at Nepali Customs at the time of exit from Nepal
- If you are visiting Nepal for just one day, you can get a Day Pass or Day Challan at the Nepal border without paying customs fees. However, you must return to India within 24 hours and return the pass to the Nepali Customs.
