Pleasant

Beautiful View and sunset - but a push to say it is more than 2 stars or worth the extra money

The view from this hotel is amazing. straight out to sea over the stunning beach. You can see both sunrise and sunset too. The food is really good. tasty and beautifully presented. However, the choice is limited if you are staying more than a couple of days. I would have liked to see more local dishes on the menu. The cocktails are very good too

For the star rating staff are not very helpful or friendly. You get the feeling everyone is doing the bare minimum. No one will hurry, chat or carry your bag to your room for you here. The hotel has the potential to be great but a few things let it down for example, you have to request for your room to be cleaned. Minimum loo roll and coffee and the toiletries are so poor quality you couldn't use them. NO hairdryer and the balcony furniture was very tatty. The whole place could do with a thorough clean and tidy up but it is not uncomfortable either. Their are only 4 sunbeds for this medium sized hotel. I was there 5 days and failed to get a sunbed on any morning

Room was very basic and bathroom ok but view was good. Staff were helpful. Only 1 night stay. Packed us nice muesli and yoghurt as we left early 7am on the bus to Phnom Penh. Pool was nice.

Beach side paradise

Saravoan is directly opposite Kep beach so its the perfect place for a beach holiday. It has a really relaxed vibe with attentive staff and a fantastic bar at street level. The rooms all face the beach so you get amazing views although the best views are from the third/top floor. We last stayed here in October 2019 and theyve made some improvements to the property since then. Theres a new infinity edge pool, improved room design and hotel design and the restaurant and bar have both been renovated. The downstairs bar has a very small shop but stocks some ethically source and sustainable products such as bags and other products made from old fishing nets and others made from recycled plastic that looks like leather. The prices are very reasonable as well. We loved the bar. Great cocktails and service and a great place to chill between swimming and eating and relaxing. This was our second stay at Saravoan and wed definitively come back again.

No lift so there are a lot of stairs to manage between street level and your room but its only really an issue when you check in or out. No cover over the outside area of the bar so when it rains you need to move inside. Itd be a great spot to enjoy the showers if it was undercover.

Disappointing

It's a shame that the beautiful sea view wasn't matched by the room quality.

The room had an incredible sea view that I couldn't get enough of. However, when it came to the room itself, it had its fair share of problems.

The shower seemed to have a thing for flooding the bathroom, and half the lights in the room just weren't up for working. The air conditioning was on its own trip, not really getting the room cool, especially when the sun was blazing at midday. I talked to the front desk about it, and they offered to move me to another room. The next room turned out to be even worse, though. And just to add some more drama, when I was checking out, they tried to hit me with a smoking charge, saying I smoked in the room. I explained that I only smoked on the balcony, but since the air conditioning wasn't doing its job, I had to keep the balcony door open most of the time, which might've left a smell inside. The front desk didn't seem too thrilled with my explanation.

Excellent view of the sea. The location is stunning with all necessary amenities close by. The service was very friendly and the food was great. Enjoyed exploring this seaside village with its peaceful beauty

not very many people speak English but their smiles are sufficient to make up for this There is truly nothing that I did not like Cambodia ... you have the most beautiful people Every tourist of Cambodia should visit Kep

Very good

We had a very enjoyable stay, and will happily come again.

We got the Delux Double with Bath, and enjoyed our stay immensely. It had a fantadtic view of the ocean,and islands. and plenty of space to spread out. We enjoyed the rstaurant a few time, although the prices are a little high. All the staff were lovely, and always happy to help. The pool was one of the best features of the hotel. With it having shade in the afternoons, and a nice view out to the ocean. It weas a great place to relax.

There really wasn't anything we didn't like. There was limited hangin space in the bathroom. But they did have more than most hotels in Cambodia. Maybe the only other thing, if you plan on getting the rooms in the top floor, be ready for walking a lot of stairs each time you go to your room. There's no elevator.
