A couple of hours drive from Udhampur, at the end of which a stunning hilltop scene awaits. The drive is quite steep and one needs to be careful. If you go towards the end of winters you’ll find snow (Read More) capped trees and roads that make it look straight out of a movie scene. Warm clothing is a must, though I can’t answer for hotels since I stayed in an army accomodation myself (completely satisfied-defence families are especially encouraged to visit it once). You might want to take snow boots to get a grip while walking down the slopes, but for mountain lovers Patnitop proves to be an absolute delight.
