Our experience at this hotel ruined our holiday in Bali.
We booked a top floor room with a balcony and gardens views and were given a below ground room with no balcony and views of a wall.
Other reviewers have stated that this hotel over books rooms and then places guests into the underground rooms which are of low quality.
The air conditioner did not work in the room and staff made a pathetic excuse about electricity voltage and it was specific just to our room because our room had a different make of air conditioner.
The Wi-Fi in the room is totally unreliable. When we were checking in, other guests were at reception complaining that the Wi-Fi was not working. The Wi-Fi speed is terribly slow and stops every hour. It is impossible to use for any serious purpose.
Staff walked into the room using their own key without knocking while we were in the room and this is very inappropriate. There is no privacy at this hotel.
The staff have below level training and below level language skills.
We booked for five nights but because the room was hot due to the air conditioner not working we had to change our plans and move out and the staff were not refund us for the 2 nights of hell we went through or refund us for extra credit card charges even though we weren't staying there for the extra nights.
There was mould in the shower and the shower drain blocked the very first time we used it due to a buildup of hair and soap in the shower drain.
The room was old and the bed had a strange design that created a hazard to hurt yourself when getting into bed.
Access my vehicle is almost impossible with most drivers refusing to drive down the little lane leading to the hotel meaning you have to carry your luggage several hundred metres to get to the hotel.
The location is also not within acceptable walking distance to all the main attractions and great things that Ubud has to offer.
