Beautiful place with very good location!
I liked everything about this place. The view from terrace was incredible. On the terrace they serve breakfast, lunch and dinner. There is also a swimming pool. The location is very good. You can use car but there is also a bus stop is and you can drive to other cities, for example Amalfi :) The staff was very kind! Greetings to Anna Maria! <3

    Just okay
Staff were super friendly and accommodating, the pool was nice, and I wish I had spent more time enjoying it. There was daily breakfast, and although the options were limited, it was still nice. Very nice views at dining for breakfast and dinner.
Walking up the stairs to the room, there was a very, very musty smell, like a tonne of moth balls or mould. My room was a decent size however the furniture was really outdated. There was a massive wooden closet that creeped me out, and it didn't close properly, and my bed sheets smelled like feet. I had dinner twice during my stay, and the food was awful. I opted to starve when I found it too difficult to go out and find somewhere to eat or went to the local supermarket for a bag of chips. The hotel was really far away from the centre and I found it really difficult to get a bus to and from so I ended up walking the hour to the centre and back. Good exercise, but i wouldn't recommend it. Despite all the negatives, I think I would stay here again. I feel like the staff and the service make up for it on this occasion.

    Superb
Lovely stay in a beautiful part of the Amalfi coastline
Beautiful location overlooking Ravello. Friendly staff, and the restaurant serves excellent food. I am vegan and they veganised their grilled vegetable pizza for me making it the best vegan pizza Ive ever tasted. Staff were also happy to give me boiling water at night to take back to my room in my flask to make tea and coffee. Having a small fridge in the room also helped for keeping things fresh. Lovely hikes in the area - make sure you have the AllTtrails app. Also ask the locals to guide you to the start points.
Breakfast didnt really cater for vegans - but there were rolls and basic fruit. They had oat milk though, which was great. Would have loved a kettle in the room for a morning cuppa before breakfast. Wifi in my room (#16) only worked out on the balcony. The speed is also really slow (less than 3MB/sec). Scala is quite far from Amalfi, especially in low season when the buses take 90 minutes to get there and back. During high season, there are SITA shuttles that operate hourly and take 25-30 minutes. Make sure to have lots of bus tickets to hand as the conductors will kick you off the bus if you dont have a ticket. Buy them from the conductors directly down in Amalfi, or from a Tabacco shop (there are tabacco shops in Ravello too) If youre there in low season and need to catch a 9am ferry, make sure you get on the 6:30 bus in the square. There wont be another one until 10:30. The early buses are usually early or on time so give yourself time and rather be early. NB the hotel locks the main gate at night, so make sure you arrange with the staff the night before that they open the gate early for you.

    Beautiful stay
It was one of the best stay we had. The hotel is beautiful with all the facilities pool, living room and specially beautiful view . And the breakfast in the morning was a treat. In afternoon time we had Clara At reception and she was a very nice friendly lady who also told us what we could see during our stay at Scala. Make sure to take the right bus from amalfi. There is a smaller shuttle bus that will take you to Scala in 25 mins but only if you have small luggage like hand carry. For bigger bags you will have to take normal big bus which will take around an hour or little more to reach Scala. The hotel is just 4 min walk from the bus station
    All was good

    A room with a view !
Absolutely loved the fantastic views across the ravine to Ravello from our balcony and could even see the sea. There were great views also from the breakfast room and also the lounge and terrace. Our room was cleaned and tidied everyday and there was a good choice for breakfast. Also the staff were all friendly and helpful. The tranquility of Scala was wonderful and it's well positioned for hiking and walking.
Although we had a fridge in our room(no minibar), there was no possibility to get a drink or food after breakfast. T/coffee making facilities.in the room would be great and improve the stay.It would also be lovely if in the evening there was the possibility to have a drink on the panoramic hotel terrace rather than walking up to the sister hotel.

Fantastic views in a tranquil village
The view was amazing from our balcony, and there was a very tranquil vibe in the area. Our room was very clean, as was the rest of the hotel. Its location is perfect for a trip into Amalfi, and all the neighbouring villages and towns as there's buses every half hour 2 mins walk from the hotel. The staff at breakfast were helpful and polite, but the real gem was Carla. She is the afternoon/ evening receptionist she was very welcoming and has a huge knowledge of the area and gave us alot of advice regarding buses and places to visit and local restaurants for dinner. Thank you Carla you were great
If you're any way tall, don't stay in room 11 as the bathroom is very narrow and the radiator is facing the loo, and your knees are attached to it it's that tight bit uncomfortable for the taller person. The mattress was very hard, and I was aching after a while, but that's down to personal preference on what type of mattress you prefer. The pictures of bathrooms in the website are not the ones in this hotel well defo not in room 11. They seem to be from their sister hotel that has a pool, and only a 2 mins walk from the Albergo Hotel.
