Very good

Great stay., wish we could have stayed longer

Very friendly hosts, very welcoming, made us feel at home. Great location, great food and a wonderful opportunity to see local lifestyle. Also helped us to get some local produce after the shops had closed.

A lush, beautiful oasis with an immeasurably kind and helpful host and hostess

Each spacious room has a balcony from which you look out over an immaculately tended, highly diverse botanical garden and into a plantation of cardamom and pepper that is topped by trees, making it look like a lush tropical forest. From the back deck we heard the calls and songs of many species of birds. Antony arranged transportation and trips for us to the nearby Periyar Tiger Reserve and a local tea planation and factory. He personally gave us a tour of the Alencherry Plantation. Antony's wife Lizzie made the plantation a welcoming, comfortable home. Each meal was carefully prepared, unique and delicious. By the end of our stay, we had experienced a wide range of the excellent meals found in the Western Ghats. We were sad to leave the plantation because there was so much more that we could have learned and explored in this area, and especially because of the graciousness of our hosts. We remember them as friends.

Super stay with very caring hosts

A wonderfully kind, helpful and resourceful couple who went over and above to ensure we had a great stay. They recommended things to do and see but were not pushy. They were rightly proud of their home, garden and estate. Whilst a way out of town, it was easy to get transport - plus we didnt have the traffic noise! An enjoyable and memorable stay.

Wonderful homestay located in a beautiful farm

Our stay was more than wonderful! The property is exceptionally beautiful and our hosts treated us like friends & family. Antony also helped us a lot with some organizations, which was really kind. The best of all was the wonderful meals, also the view from the rooms and balcony is beautiful. Our room was really spacious and the bed was really comfy. We wished we stayed longer.

Beautiful location with excellent hosts.

Excellent hospitality. Beautiful walks through the gardens and plantations. The owners exceeded themselves to making us feel like home. Very nice meals as well. We would love to return there someday.

Highly recommended, and oasis of peace and tranquillity!

If you happen to stay in this homestay, you have hit the jackpot! This is the most perfect stay we have had in our travels. We are a family of 4, with two young children, and my parents and cousin were also travelling with us and it was just perfect. The house and garden is beautiful, rooms huge, comfortable beds, great showers, everything just works, which is so hard to find! The hosts Mr Anthony and his wife are very kind and always anticipating our needs. We had a wonderful breakfast and it felt like visiting family rather then a hotel. Mr Anthony showed us around his plantation and gave great tips for eating and things to do around the area. We thouroughly enjoyed our stay and it was just a pity that we were only staying a night. We would have gladly spent the rest of our holidays at his house.

The house is situated outside of Kumly city and surrounded by the beautiful tea and spice plantations. Its next to the main road so its easy to find. Its a beautiful, modern house with lovely outdoor seating areas to enjoy afternoon tea and read a book. The rooms are spacious and clean. The home cooked food was so delicious and the hospitality was extremely good.

The place is absolutely gorgeous with enough room and facilities to accommodate people across all age categories. The owner and his family is extremely warm and welcoming. The food they serve resonates love
