The location is absolutely stunning, the staff very welcoming and the rooms simply but well designed. The welcome drinks , la carte, is a very nice touch.
No turn down service, I feel that at this level it should be provided. I really dislike waking up to a bathroom that hasnt been cleaned from the day before , with not enough towels. Also, its always nice to find a little treat or note at bedtime.

The hotel looked ever better than in the pictures. One of the best hotels Ive visited. The swimming pool was beautiful, the food was delicious and the staff was very nice. We also had a private sauna in our room which was perfect. I also have to point out the cleanliness - everything was spotless.
The check out was a bit too early (10 AM), I would expect a later check out (ideally noon) at a hotel like this.

Incredible location on a beautiful (and warm) lake. Really high finish throughout, and amazing sauna complex. Delicious breakfasts.
There were no English menus available in the restaurants, and the service could be a little slow (e.g. waited over 15 mins to order a drink one evening).

The hotel itself has an impressive array of amenities and well maintained facilities. It is in a very nice location close to the lake with a nice contemporary architecture. I particularly enjoyed the swim in the morning and all the facilities along the lake. The hotel's breakfast and dining options were nice with a high quality of food and a variety of options to satisfy different tastes.
While the facility left a very positive impression, we encountered a few instances where the staff interaction did not meet the high level of service expected. On a couple of occasion, I was surprised that the staff was more focused on guests that seemed to have preferential treatment e.g. prime table reservation, check out process were the staff interrupted our check out to serve another more "premium" guest, long wait during dinner. Additionally, the room was not clean at our arrival as you would expect for this type of hotel, the mirror had plenty of fingerprint from previous guests, bath accessories not refurbished after day 1, no hair conditioner, no free bottle of water in the room. While the architecture of the facility is nice, the room itself was dark. I believe that improving staff responsiveness and communication could significantly enhance the overall guest experience. It would be wonderful to see the staff undergo additional training to ensure that each guest feels valued and attended to promptly.

Very nice hotel with beautiful surroundings
The hotel is very beautifully designed and nicely located by the Schwarzee and at walking distance from Kitzbuhel (and very close to several hiking spots). The breakfast was abundant and tasty. The rooms are very big and comfortable and the staff at the reception was very friendly and accommodating.
Apart from the reception staff, all the personnel seemed to only speak German, which is strange for such a fancy hotel.
As said above the rooms are very nice but those in the Steghaus, in spite of having a lovely view of the lake, sit right on top of a bar/restaurant with loud music starting at 9am until the evening, which is not great for those looking to relax. In our case - however - that was a non-issue as, when we flagged the noise to the reception, they were very kind and allowed us to move to another, quieter room in the other building.
