- The hotel looks tired. Both of the rooms we stayed in had broken elements (sockets, lights in the bathroom, TV wasn't in place, furniture issues, water pressure issues, sanitary system issues).
- The towels are hard and not pleasant to use, the bedsheets have holes.
- It feels like the hotel is not made to accommodate so many guests. There are portable AC units and floor fans in common areas, foldable tables in the buffet, and cable management on the floor. The overall look and feel of the common area doesn't leave you with a nice impression.
- The hotel doesn't have quiet rooms. Lagoon rooms face a small town by the canal, with a mosque and a railway station. So if you're not affected by the mosque at 5.30, the train will surely wake you up.
Ocean and Garden rooms face a public area between the hotel territory and the public beach. Locals use this area to have parties, bringing cars, opening doors, playing music, and having fun. In our case, one night we had to wait until 4 am until they finished. If not a locals, than a dogs who love to barge during the night. Overall from the 6 might we sleep well only one.
- Besides the mentioned issues, the rooms have zero sound insulation. We literally hear every single noise from outside, water splashing in the neighbor's toilet, staff walking and talking in the corridor, furniture moving around before check-in and during cleaning, doors opening and closing, birds, everything.
- Yes, the hotel doesn't have a private beach same like most hotels on the islands. And this is alright if the hotel maintains the public beach area for the guests to relax in. But this is not the case here. The beach is dirty, with no umbrellas, no bar service, no lifeguard, only a few sunbeds with towels and security looking after them.
- The food is okay, but nothing spectacular that you would expect from a 5-star hotel.
