Marseille is a really disappointing city, and with an average hotel it makes it worse.

The room wasn't too bad, the bed was comfortable, and the shower was alright but we were there in the middle of summer and the room is not air-conditioned, it has a thermostat that does not cool down the room at all.

The room does not have air-conditioning, it has a thermostat that does NOT cool down the room. We were there in the middle of summer, making it impossible for us to sleep well. The room key kept failing, we had to go back down to the desk to get it working every day. This is not the hotel's fault but Marseille is by far the dirtiest city we've ever been to (this includes developing countries) but there was rubbish and human poo right outside the hotel, at least they could've cleaned that. Also, the hotel's cafeteria (or whatever it was, it was never serving anything) has a little outside table sitting area, we got locked out there for more than an hour! We had to bang the window doors really hard, my wife climbed up these bushes to go around the block back to the front desk to tell them we were bloody locked outside.

Fantastic staff, great location for rugby stadium. Hotel basic otherwise-breakfast was fine.

The staff on the front desk were fantastic-so helpful. We were there for the rugby and had an issue with our hire car which had a flat battery. Our French is limited but the front desk couldnt have been more helpful in resolving the resulting issues for us. Room very basic for what we paid but appreciated that was hugely inflated because of the rugby and was our choice. Great location for the Marseille stadium. Breakfast was fine.

Sick stains on carpet in corridor. Basic and small room.
