Coming at 6 in the evening, leaving at 7 the other morning - it took 2 min to check-in

The room was bigger than expected, there is a small kitchen (Boardinghouse does not provide breakfast) and it is very clean and nice. One can make its coffee or also bring the own food. I felt very well during my stay.

Nice hotel next to the red-light district

The staff were very nice and helpful. The hotel looked modern. Our room was on the 3rd floor. It was easily accessible via the elevator and easy to find. The room was clean and good value for money. The bathroom looked nice and new. The room had floor heating, which is a big plus in my book, especially since it was near freezing temperatures outside. The room had a small kitchen with a basic stove and microwave. While we didn't use it, it looked to be in good shape and clean. There was also a TV, a small table with 2 chairs, and 2 night stands. When we checked out, we still had some hours before the departure time of our train. The staff offered to keep our suitcases for us in the meantime. We declined, but the offer was very much appreciated.

We didn't realize that the hotel was right next to the city's prostitution/stripping area. We saw a lot of homeless people and ambulances on our way to the hotel. We saw one person being robbed by homeless people WHILE he was being taken to the ambulance. We didn't do proper research on the location, which is our own fault, but it was still shocking being so close to such a dangerous area. The walls had some dark scratch marks from previous visitors, which made it look a bit dirty. The entrance to the room was very small, and right in front of the bathroom door. There was little space to take off our shoes, so we ended up dragging some dirt into the room. Some kind of rug outside or inside would be nice, because the city's streets are covered in gravel that gets stuck on your shoes.
