    Great space to relax.
    The owners are really wonderful. There's a good feel about the place, and it's a great location.
    The showers are run off solar panels, so with it being a cold snap and not much sun, we could not have a hot or even warm shower.

    Its our 2nd time staying here, what makes Bou Savy stand out is its location, price and staff. The rooms are comfortable, the aircon worked well, the WiFi is good, but the furnishing had its days and the paint job needs some freshen-up. Everything on the breakfast menu is delightful, I loved the veg noodle soup and waffles! Their crew Mr. Sarath is such a lovely man, he looked after us really well and made sure we had plenty of cold water during our Angkor Wat adventure.
    There's nothing I didn't like about Bou Savy. The only thing that didn't work at the time is the TV, which we didn't need anyways.

    Keep looking, there is better available for the price.
    Communication was prompt with the hotel when I wanted to change my dates (although booking.com gave me wrong info that no rooms were available. Actually there were loads of rooms- it's a big place and mostly empty. So I cancelled and made a new booking.) The pick-up from the airport was smooth and the driver was a nice guy, I used him again during my stay. It's in a pretty good location in the centre of town but down a lane, away from traffic close to the river, museum, supermarket etc with a nightly street food market at the top of the lane. Wifi was OK. It was pretty quiet apart from pre-dawn roosters from the neighbouring block.

    Do NOT believe the photos of the pool area, it's been remodelled and there is no garden, the pool is smaller and usually in shade. Although there were vacant rooms with decent light on the pool side of the hotel, the room I was given was gloomy, located in a rear block facing a brick wall. There was no hot water in the bathroom. The mattress was uncomfortably hard; I used the bedding from the 'spare' bed in the room to pad it out. Pillows oversized, I used a cushion instead. Sometimes the tuk-tuk driver who'd picked me up was there- nice guy. Otherwise the staff was just some young girls with no English, so I couldn't really get any information about transport, etc. This was my first place in Cambodia so I would have appreciated that.

    Very nice B&B place with pool and good breakfast. We could leave our luggage on the last day and even take a shower before leaving for the night bus. Pick up from the airport was arranged and that tuk tuk driver was also our guide in Angkor Wat - highly recommend travelling with him - drives very safely!
    The outflow of water from the shower was not good and there was some strange smell. There is a gap below the door to the room which allows light and potentially mosquitoes from the corridor.

    The owner of the hotel was very kind. He picked us up at the airport the first day and dropped us off when we left. He also drove us around all the temples during 3 days for only $35 extra. The breakfast was good, our room was cleaned daily and we were given free water everyday too. The hotel is very close to the city center and you can get there easily walking or by Tuk Tuk for around $2. Also, there are a few good and cheap restaurants nearby.
    The hotel is located next to a school and a Buddist temple, so it can get a little bit noisy sometimes.

    Lovely hosts great value
    The staff were very accommodating . They let me and my work colleagues have the use of the pool a week prior to my booking. I had a gap of a few days before returning for a second stay and they kindly let me leave my case there.
    Photos are misleading of the pool area.
