Superb

Excellent location with the metro station right at the doorstep. Great view of the Budapest Eye too. Clean and well maintained. Helpful and responsive staff. I will stay here again if I came to Budapest again

Disappointing

The bed was comfortable and clean. The location was amazing.

I am shocked that this hotel is so highly rated! There is nothing luxurious about it. First of all there is no reception service. I wanted to book a hotel specifically to have a person on site that I could talk to. When I arrived the reception was closed and empty. I called the phone number and instead of talking me through the process, I was asked to start a chat on WhatsApp. I waited for the person to paste the directions for 10 minutes. Finally I got into the room and was immediately disappointed by the look and smell of the room. The shower wasnt draining properly, the floor was stained by the never ending process of slowly drying water puddles and there was a strong smell of moisture. The tv had a bunch of cables hanging down from it and watching YouTube was almost impossible due to slow connection. When I complained about the smell I was told to open the window (it was 4 degrees outside)! I was not offered another room or partial refund. After I complained more I was promised that the issue would be fixed the next day. There was some heavy bleach cleaning done and it helped with the smell, but nothing else in the room was cleaned, no fresh towels, the trash bin was left full. In general I did not feel cared for, there was no courtesy or hospitality and the communication was very chaotic. The person responding to my emails kept misstating my arrival date, which was confusing and concerning. Definitely not worth the money I paid for my stay! Cherry on top was the 7 am WhatsApp message asking me how I liked my stay, when I was still sleeping in the room and then a pasted massage asking for a 10/10 review.
