loved the hotel - steer clear of the spider trap allure of the cafe

lovely lobby decor, interesting history, really great front desk staff, comfy cute room - lovely physical setting for cafe. Was lucky enough to get hotel parking after checking in - close enough to beach- close to Espanola promenade of restaurants and to Lincoln Road piazza shops area

Paid well over $30 for 2 americano coffees and they did not even have cream!!! Who are they kidding? You may have a cool setting but it's hardly the Champs Elysee folks !!! And there is a sign telling you your stay can be no longer than 45 minutes. This cafe is the definition of pretentious without having the goods! Not sure if the hotel runs it - was like 2 different worlds.

Pleasant

I have 2 small windows in my room and all facing the bar its so loud and crowded so I had the windows and curtains all down all the time as if there were no windows at all.
