    Great except for bathroom door situation.
    Breakfast was excellent. Love dogs and their dog was so cute but the dog was a wee bit too close while we were eating.
    Overall good but the bathroom door in the room has a crease in the middle which allows your travel Buddy to see you in there. While most people wont look in there its a bit unnerving. This could be a simple and non expensive fix -also opening and closing the door was terribly loud.

    Great small family run hotel on Main Street,great breakfast
    Clean ,comfortable everything you needed for short stay (homemade shortbread great touch delicious)
    Noisy toilet,squeaky toilet door,coloured towels (not a fan of)tv channels not working nothing that would stop us from staying again

    The hotel was on the main street and close to the town.
    The room was tiny and the ensuite was also very small which had a folding door. This meant that if anyone went to the toilet during the night the noise from the door would waken the other person. The cover for the duvet was split at the seam which is not good for a hotel that charges 160 for bed and breakfast. I ordered smoked haddock for breakfast but it was overcooked and was dry.

    With the proviso that any hot food for breakfast needs to be booked during the evening prior, it was excellent. There was nothing to dislike. A well-run family business :)

    Gem in the middle of town
    Great location in town, but it's still calm. Bread and scones are baking in the morning, and you are in comfortable surroundings. The hosts were friendly and helpful. The garden area is lovely on a sunny day. The snacks in the garden were fresh and homemade. It's been a long time since I asked for handcut chips, and that's actually what was served! We had drinks later sitting in the front room, the service the decor and the music were all very relaxing.
    It isn't really a dislike -I would have loved the chance to try more of the food but didn't want a full set menu in the evening. I can understand why they do this. It is their craft to keep the cooking standards so high and to provide high-quality restaurant food and service.. it just smelled so good! But I eat little and often... so it was really my fault. Next time I will definitely prepare for a big meal because I would love to try that menu!
