Location

Cuisine Functional doesn't begin to describe it. Maybe the kitchen was closed, but this was way below my previous experience of Campanile.

Cheap, clean and easy to book. Dog friendly.

Carpark didn't feel very secure and there were a couple of people hanging around at night which made me uncomfortable when walking the dog last thing.

Very good

Easy to find as out of town but close enough to make access to the port simple and quick. Comfortable, well decorated room. Good shower. Free parking.

The older lady on reception/ in the restaurant was not very friendly or helpful-younger ladies were. The menu in the restaurant was very limited ie there was no meat dish. What has happened to the excellent salad buffets that Campaniles used to have?

Poor staff. customer service poor, food that we ordered was not suitable for adults small size

We booked online and checked in with the young lady receptionist. We had previously stayed at the Campanile In Saumur which was far superior. This hotel just looked tired as did the staff.

The Pizzas we order of the main menu were the type you buy frozen to feed a child. I did not have a tape measure but they were about 8 inches across. We went to the pay station to settle the bill the same young lady who had checked us in was on duty. We had been presented with the total when she asked if everything was fine. My reply was that the pizza was more suitable for a child. At this point a guy I presume was the manager arrived eating the remains of a sandwich. He had a conversation with the receptionist without acknowledging us. The young lady then said we had not paid for the dog. But she was the person that checked us in, and I told her it was two and a dog in our party The amended bill was paid. The next morning at breakfast the staff said dogs were not allowed in the restaurant. I pointed out we had eaten the night before with our dog lying at our feet. We insisted we would sit and eat and asked why there were no signs on the entrance door. The same guy from the previous night was on duty. The breakfast was also not up to the previous hotels standard.
