Decent inexpensive stay

Location was decent, Jing'an temple and Frech Concession both around the corner. Room was a good size and bed was super comfy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Laundry machines were simple to use.

Could have been cleaner, particularly the walls of the bathroom. Had obviously never been cleaned so looked unhygienic. Hotel needs a repaint. Cleaners had a tendency to dispose of some things that weren't even in a bin, so I lost a pannetone and a takeaway :(. Hotel didn't respond when I asked in advance for the Chinese address for the taxi. Hotel is called Kangbo hotel in Chinese, which is what's needed for Didi

Good location, close to Jing an temple. Friendly and available staff.

The bed is very small, the room seems more like a kids room rather than a room for adults.

Bad

Avoid this hotel. They do not allow foreigners to stay here. After traveling all day I was turned away at reception saying only Chinese citizens can stay here. Very unacceptable.

Good

Great location close to the charming French Concession, the bustling Nanjing Road, and good metro connection. Comfortable and clean room and common area. Well equipped to serve guests with amenities like toiletries, city map, umbrellas.

Something was off with the heating so it was very hot in my room. Nice after a day in the freezing cold outside but a bit too much. And the playlist in the common area is short and on repeat, so by the end of my stay I knew all the songs by heart
