First time stayover.

Staff on arrival and when confirming booking were wondeful, wish I could remember the names. We struggled to find hotel carpark albut helped with that too.

Room clean and some lovely modernisation had been done. But the furniture was in very bad condition I took photos of the bedside cabinets and bathroom rollerblind could do with being renewed, very small toych ups needed. Although an old building the radiator was freezing and definitely needed bleeding. We had to ask for a portable radiator. Breakfast was nice although they ran out of oj and other items and we arrived for breakfast before 9am so still very early. Option of Gluten free bread was nice but a gf cereal would have been awesome. Cereal always wins . Location is great and staff definitely made our stay. Oh and I was recommended a lovely restaurant close by and that was fantastic too. The Last Zebra

Great value for money and would stay again.

Lovely staff,so accommodating. Bedrooms were large ,clean and comfortable. Next to the train station and a 5 minute walk to town centre.

Bathroom was dated but very clean.

Did what it said on the tin!

Friendly staff under pressure as trains had been cancelled so hotel very busy. Room nice and warm.

Couldnt get much better for what I paid for the room.

Hidden vandalism

The room and the beds were very nice and comfy. The staff were great and very welcoming.

I won't say it's a dislike as such as the staff were unaware or what we found which we only stumbled upon by accident.. One of the previous guests had vandalised the walls and desk and wardrobe in the room with a UV pen. The type that only shows with a uv torch or light. The staff were brilliant and offered us another room however my son and I were not so fussed by it as it was only visible with uv. There was nothing offensive or rude so we opted to stay. I dont agree with anyone causing damage or vandalism however someone was very creative.. It wasn't a dislike for us more of a surprise worthy of pointing out to the staff. The whole stay and service was brilliant especially to say we stayed Christmas day. Highly recommend
