    About This Property

    The chamonix wine estate and accommodation situated about 5 KM from the town of Franschhoek, a vehicle is a must, as our accommodation is spread out across the estate. Chamonix offers its guest seve (Read More)ral accommodation options, all tastefully decorated, fully equipped and with views. Certain rooms have a seating area where you can relax. Some rooms feature views of the mountain or lake. Rooms have a private bathroom. For your comfort, you will find free toiletries and a hairdryer. A flat-screen TV with satellite channels is featured. Stellenbosch is within 35 minutes' drive and Cape Town International airport is 72 km away. The accommodation is spread out across the Estate, so a vehicle is a necessity. Chamonix No longer do Game Drives. Only the Two Executive Suites in the Marco Polo Lodge, have a seperate door, to the Patio, although not a private patio for the Executive Suites only, as the Standard Rooms also have access to the Patio. Due to Chamonix being in the process of planting new Vineyards, heavy machinery is working on the Estate. Chamonix have No longer Game or the Game Reserve on the Estate.

    Lovely views and very helpful staff
    We arrived and were surprised to find out that we are staying in a lodge and not the main building. However we moved to the main building after the 1st night. All the staff and especially Brywell were very helpful and accommodating. The site is very beautiful and the views are amazing. Would definitely stay here again.
    It wasnt clear from our booking that our lodge was a drive or a 15 min hike uphill to the main office. This meant they we had to drive to get coffee and breakfast in the morning.

    Great location, excellent staff & super comfy beds
    Brywell and the staff are incredible! What an amazingly friendly bunch of faces to see every day! The lodge itself is great and has amazing views and the breakfast is great.
    They have amazing bathtubs, sadly not enough hot water to enjoy them.

    A pleasant stay
    Beautiful setting. An excellent breakfast with numerous choices. The hot breakfast was cooked to perfection. The staff were very helpful and friendly.
    Some updates are required to the rooms. USB power points would be useful.

    Beautiful location with amazing staff
    The view from anywhere on the property is amazing! The staff, especially Bramwell is super friendly. We got to see a Hark/Eagle just relaxing on the grape vine poles
    My wife did get a little scared when a troop of around 30 baboons came close to use, but the staff ensured us that they are harmless

    Great and relaxing location.
    We had our own privat lodge Hadida at the Chamonix Estate. Very beautiful location with a great view over the Franschhoek valley. Breakfast is perfect and staf is very friendly and helpful. The location is "far"outside Franschhoek, so you always need a car or taxi. Or walk 3.6km to Franschhoek
