    Chateau Du Clair De Lune is in a 19th-century manor house located 5 km from the centre of Biarritz. Free Wi-Fi is available. The rooms are split between the manor house and the hunting lodge. Each r (Read More)oom has a flat-screen TV with satellite channels, bathtub or shower, hairdryer and minibar. Rooms in the hunting lodge have a private terrace with garden or park view. The Chateau’s manor house has a lounge and library. Guests are invited to enjoy Chateau Du Clair De Lune’s park, which is full of roses, magnolia and rhododendron. Restaurant “Marius”: Marius is the idea of an inn. A place for conviviality, sharing, good food and generosity. Located on the estate but independently managed. Lunch menu from €35, à la carte choice in the evening. Closed on Tuesdays and Wednesdays. We advise you to book your table in advance. Please do not hesitate to ask us for any assistance you may need in organizing your stay. The Chateau is a 10-minute drive from Biarritz Anglet Bayonne Airport.

    Absolutely wonderful stay, next time for longer stay for sure.
    Oh my goodness what a wonderful Chateau to stay in... It is owned and run by the original owners great grandson. The interior is lovely and reflects it's heritage. Our room on ground floor was large and the attached bath was huge. Beautifully appointed. The bed was large and very comfy. The bath towels thick and soft. They provide robes and slippers. They went out of their way to accommodate our needs. The casual supper, on the terrace overlooking the fountain and grounds, was very tasty. Breakfast the next morning was delightful. NOT the same ole bread, butter and lunch meats. Ordered a cheese omelette and bacon-delish! They also had very nice pastries, granola, fresh fruit and jams. Coffee with cream. I could go on and on singing their praises but you need to see for yourself. Definitely come and stay here.

    Check-in and parking were easy. Staff were friendly and helpful. Main building was beautiful.
    We stayed in the Pavilion, which is a short distance from the main building. Clean and functional but lacked the history of the main building. Price did not reflect that we stayed in a very functional room away from the Chateau. Price was too high.

    Great venue and food but let down by staffing issues
    Venue, facilities, food and dog friendly. Good parking, comfortable bed, decent shower and clean. The receptionist was working very hard to meet everyones needs single handed. She was helpful and efficient. She phoned the restaurant to ensure we got fitted in for dinner. The garden views from the Lodge were fabulous. The horses kept in the grounds made it feel very rural. The on site restaurant served superb food. The receptionist kindly extended our check out as my husband was on a conference call until 12.30. Nothing was too much bother for her. She fixed everything for us!
    It felt understaffed. The receptionist was also running the bar and taking guests to their rooms in the golf buggy which (although not life changing!) caused some delays in service. Our on line booking for the restaurant somehow got translated as a booking for the snack bar (@ 8pm at night!) and was only discovered upon check in at 6.30pm. Fortunately it could be amended. The breakfast room was pretty much unstaffed so when I would have usually ordered a second coffee at 10am (it closes at 10.30am) there was nobody left in the kitchen. The cleaner who arrived in a golf buggy at 12.40 to clean the room upstairs skidded to a halt on the gravel next to my husbands car just as he was reversing it in to load our luggage, jumped out, glared at us and started slamming around the place (clearly in a very bad mood)! It wasnt a great last interaction with the team who otherwise had been very good up to that point.

    Beautiful stay in Biarritz
    Gorgeous chateau, gardens and location with fantastic attention to detail. The pool was great. We had a delicious lunch and drinks on the terrace. A wonderful setting for a relaxing and romantic break
    There were some glasses and cigarette butts left on some of the tables outside from a party but this was really minor. We look forward to returning as we really loved our stay

    Beautiful period property. Made a nice change from staying in modern city centre hotels. Stunning grounds to walk your dogs if you are travelling with pets.
