    Lovely French Chateau, ideal location for our itinerary.
    Appearance and location. Very attentive staff.
    Dinner covers were small so missed out on dinner on our second night.

    Breakfast was great. Size of property was great, hence why it was a little outta town but that wasnt a problem with a car.

    the atmosphere of old times, the garden; fair dinner; very good breakfast; friendly staff trying to be multitask
    the cobwebs in all the rooms of the castle - probably the maid hasn't changed her glasses; the unpleasant smell in the room;

    Convenient for the ferry port, but not up to the luxury standard it promised.
    Very convenient location for the ferry port. The bed was comfortable and the breakfast was plentiful.
    Sadly this property promised more than it actually offered. It is in need of some major maintenance work, particularly in the garden area, but also in the rooms. They need to be updated, particularly as the cost of the rooms are at the top end of the scale. We appreciated the antique furniture, but the carpets and the bathroom, whilst clean, were in need of updating.

    Lovely hotel but difficult to find.
    We had to leave before breakfast.
    The signposting to the hotel did not exist at the last important turning. We ended up quite lost. We were not able to eat at the hotel as the restaurant was fully booked. We were told this before we arrived. Having got lost once we did not want to drive again that night. We had no confidence that we would find our way out.
