Nice, charming, affordable place to explore the Medoc

Chateau Meyre is a charming place to stay for a couple of nights. The room in the annex was comfortable and the gardens are lovely to relax in. The breakfast in the chateau is good and the staff was very friendly and helpful. For evening meals the staff puts together a nice salad or snack. It is a good starting point for a tour around the Medoc.

If nobody in your group speaks English and can translate, the tour and explanations could be a bit disappointing, as the very friendly guide did not communicate comfortably in English. If you want to have a real dinner, you really need to drive somewhere else.

Excellent stay!

Chateau, rooms, facilities, scene, staff, all are excellent!

Too many flies when we eat, haha! And should recommend guests to drive beforehand. And just unlucky that we could not visit the winery and production during wine tasting as it is harvest period.
