We loved our trip. We loved the location and the view. Hope to visit Paris again.

The coffee bar is a big plus - free espresso and cappuccinos 24-7 - nice perk. I saw them clean the machine daily. The staff is friendly and helpful. The location is supreme, especially for first time visitors to Paris. Kitchenette was great, room was spacious - good acoustics, the only noise we heard was from street traffic below and with the window open at night, the white noise helped us sleep. The room with a view of the Seine was ideal I'm not sure how the other rooms would stack up so I'd try to get a river view - the garden is small and nothing to see. Water pressure was great, place was super clean - linens towels good bath products. It seems as if they are renovating in stages a little at a time in time for the Olympics. We were VERY happy here all in all and would book again if we had room 2403 or better. Would definitely recommend hotel with carpet caveat below.

The carpet on the fourth floor and in our room was old and stained and super scary if you thought about it for too long - but it wasn't a shaggy carpet and they gave us slippers so we could deal with it. If you can block out the stains you'll be ok. I also read about the carpet (and saw a pic of the hallway/elevator) on a prior review which I am grateful for because it would have probably been a problem for me. However, this place is safe and the bones are good. All in all, the location and the lobby - the staff's professionalism and the overall look and cleanliness of the place made the carpet tolerable. Honestly once the carpet is replaced the rate will probably go up, so get while the gettin's good - and wear slippers.
