Exceptional

It's a top notch hotel for a couple hundred dollars a night in Rome, I didn't think that was to expensive. The hotel is great. Breakfast is included. Ut was very good. The hotel is not far from the Vatican City. I walked there on the bike trails adjacent to the railway. The train station is just up the hill and to the right from the hotel. I don't recommend driving to Vatican, Pantheon, Coloseum or any other dozens of landmarks in that area. It's insanely busy and traffic is jammed on narrow streets. Go by foot. It's the best way to take in the scenery, then take the train back.

Not much not to like. Parking is limited. Didn't know what the situation was with the gated parking lot. Perhaps it was included with the room. I didn't check because I found a spot on the street and left it there until I checked out.

Very bad experience!

Nothing unfortunately

My stay in Marriott was horrible and pathetic. I had planned to go to Rome to celebrate my BIRTHDAY and hence I booked Courtyard Marriott thinking it would be a very great hotel with a great hospitality but the experience was quite opposite. To have a good time, I had booked a room in their higher floor with the City view and it was a "Guest room, 1 King, St. Peters Dome view, High floor for guest" and paid an extra amount for the same. When I actually went to the hotel on the day of the booking, they gave me a lower floor room with no view, and 2 single beds!!! I was on a vacation with my husband , how can they give me a room with 2 beds? Also, when I asked the receptionist she said this is your booking as per our system and I showed her my booking print out which she did not accept. She said you have to speak to booking.com. Moreover , she could see the the rates of my room she has allocated are lesser than what I am paying but she still insisted me to pay the higher changes of the deluxe room, whereas she could see on her screen the rates were lower. Yet she charged me with the higher rates, so I can say there was no integrity. The staff and receptionist were not friendly with us, for some reasons only they can understand. I chose to stay in Marriott to celebrate my birthday and to spend a beautiful evening, have a nice dinner there, instead due to this behaviors' and treatment, I did not even had a cup of coffee in that hotel because I was scared of more insults. I did not celebrate my birthday as planned and returned back to my country. I am a regular customer of Marriott and I am a guest of Marriott in NewYork and other cities, but this experience is making me think i should ever go to Marriott based on the treatment in Rome. When I raised a complaint against this, they refused to pay me the extra amount they charged me for the higher room. Very disappointed, and I can only do is leave this review. Not sure, if this review will change anything.
