Disappointing

Central The breakfast staff were lovely

We had to wait in heavy rain to be answered at the gate of car park by whom I learnt was the duty manager without a hello a wave or a nod. Not a great first impression. The lady at reception was helpful and polite but again not very chirpy. The bedroom had an awful smell of moth balls. There was a white stain on the coloured throw. The shower pipe had cracked so was badly leaking everywhere. The silver shower curtain pole was brown with rust. The wood was peeling off the door. Breakfast could have been local quality produce it was poor. The price definitely did not justify the badly neglected building and the poor standard of staffing. Oh and I forgot the carpets taped up with silver tape. We waited in the bar for a drink for quite sometime when it said to go to reception if no one was present. So went to reception only to be stood there for ages aswell so gave up on the drinks. Very very poor standard.

I slipped on wet stairs in pool area. Broke 2 toes. My child has to find ice for me to reduce swelling. Hotel gave a plaster. Had to arrange own A&E transport
