always issues with taps drainage etc but its very reasonably priced so you get what you pay for.
However I am discussed that last year the cost of parking was 5/night this year they are now charging 7.50/night
will I continue to stay here yes probably but a 50% increase in parking charges is outrageous

Very good
3 Nights over Xmas
It's got a grand feel, presence and history... Beautiful inside & could have stayed there for weeks, it was lovely and warm everywhere in the hotel.
Staff were accommodating and pleasant along with the maids
Due to its age and period it lacked a few things. I was on the third floor & the wi-fi only worked if I was on the ground floor.
The carpark is small and first come first served which is fair enough however I don't agree with being charged per night as a resident if you manage to find a space and the car park belongs to the hotel

Very good
Comfortable accommodation at reasonable price in a great location.
I had a single room which was warm, comfortable and quiet. Cooked breakfast was served on hot plates, and the service was prompt. Staff were polite and efficient. It was an excellent loction, being 5 minutes walk to the city centre.
I had not been aware there was a 5 per night charge for usung the car park, but it was far cheaper than parking on the local roads.

Friendly, fun, charming historic hotel
Quirky, historic, old luxury
Only a minor suggestion- the armchairs in our room could do with replacing
