Excellent place to stay.

Everything about this property was amazing. The location, the views, the lovely decor and the friendly and welcoming atmosphere was excellent. The hosts do a magnificent job and assist with things to do and see and recommend places to eat etc

We liked absolutely EVERYTHING about this place and the beautiful hosts! Our room was small but VERY nice and also came along with snacks and sweets. The location was on a hillside with a BEAUTIFUL view of the water and the grounds were nicely decorated with ample room to sit/lounge without feeling crowded. The breakfast was to die for! Cooked to order as if you are at a 5* restaurant! The entire place has high quality decorating and has been lovingly restored and cared for by the hosts. I highly recommend!

There was nothing about this place or host/staff that we didn't like.

We were made to feel very welcome, beautiful decorated bedroom, with robes and slippers. Excellent!

A real home from home. Service and accommodation was excellent, there is a nice bar and library to sit in, very comfortable. Exceptional breakfast from fruits and cereal to a fresh home cooked breakfast of your choice served to you at the table. Hosts go over and above to make your stay comfortable, good local knowledge for walking and eating out. Can not recommend this stately home enough, we will definitely return.

A beautiful character building. The summer residence of the Duke of Argyll . The location and scenery was fantastic and close to the town. Run by a very friendly couple who made you extremely welcome.
