Exceptional

Value for money and hope to go back soon.

We found the staff very friendly and helpful in all aspects of our stay. The breakfast was excellent with lots to choose from full English was freshly cooked and pleasantly served. We had an excellent Christmas break at this hotel. Paul's fish and chips was outstanding and delicious.

There was not anything not to like.

Great location good hot breakfast staff friendly stayed here many times and never in room 7 which wasn't nice. No towels so had to go down 2 flights of stairs to ask for them. Has gone down in my ratings over the years.staff serving breakfast smelt of cigarette smoke. Not present.

Room was cold when arrived and a damp smell. Bathroom light not working. Lots of holes on walls where shelves had been taken down. Bathroom very small

Staff were polite but not always available so often left waiting to be served. The room was a little tired and the bathroom so small it was almost impossible to shower.

Wouldn't stay again

View out the window.

No staff at front desk on arrival. Very rushed, customer service not a strong point. I feel other ppl actually live there amd have dirty laundry outside rooms? Smelly odours in corridors. Dust, grime and skirting boards filthy. Superior room...yet bathroom was tiny. Shower tiny. Door lock wouldn't work. Overall very disappointed.

Excellent location

Staff were helpful and friendly. Location was perfect for what we wanted.

The room was initially very cold and the bedding was thin and inadequate. And the television continued to pixilate BUT the staff worked to make every problem right.

Cold, occasional heating.

The bed was comfortable. The shower, when hot water was available, was okay. Plenty of towels.

Cold, heating only on at set times. No hot water until morning. The room let in cigarette smoke from outside smokes and was not sound proofed. We didn't stay for breakfast.
