Nice place in the heart of Barcola

Older hotel with nice atmosphere direct on Barcola's main street, friendly staff, good parking i the yard and brethtaking view from the dining room.

It's a three star hotel. Ranking is misleading, price ratio not favorable. It's easy to find better for same price or cheaper for price asked.

The hotel is in a good spot away from the old city and the castle. Its on a bus line so you can go both directions. Breakfast was excellent.

This is a really good place to stay, and I recommend it!

It is a very nice hotel very well located just a 5 minute walk to the entrance to the Barcola promenade for swimming. The staff was exceptionally nice! Everyone with whom we interacted was helpful and friendly. The brunch was really lovely - the food was very good and many choices. The dining room is on the 4th floor, and we sat on the terrace with a beautiful view of the bay.

There wasnt anything about the propert itself that we didnt like. Getting into the city - Trieste - was a little difficult. At the time we wanted to go in for dinner, the bus was absolutely full of people coming from the beach. But the staff at the hotel called a taxi for us which solved the problem (there were not many taxis coming by). This was in 2nd weekend of September - end of season. Most likely later in the month the bus would not have been impacted.

Mixed feelings!

Absolutely wonderful staff - kind, friendly and helpful. The location is also great and the breakfast spread was impressive. I also enjoyed the indoor swimming pool - very fresh!

This is simply not a 5-star hotel. Maybe it was in 1995, but not anymore. The air-conditioning never got the room temperature below 25C (each room has a thermometer) and I had to change room twice to a non sea-facing room to get away from the sun. Then when I went to shower at 9:30 one day there was no hot water - only just tepid. Obviously the other guests had used it all.
