Excellent position. Staff very helpful but clearly stretched and overworked. Amazed how they coped with providing excellent food and dealt with a very busy evening. Then provided lovely breakfast in the morning. Really good value for money..

You really need to update bathrooms. Our loo seat was knackered and tipped us into the bath when we reached for the loo paper.. Same thing happened to our friends in their room. Ran out of beer and not even Marstons. Again staff did their best to offer alternatives. What a brilliant bunch!! I really want to support Marstons as it was the family firm. This was a good bit better than the last place we stayed in. Hope you can give Premier Inns a run for their money!!

Lively public house accommodation

Room was clean, uncluttered, no frills accommodation. It was ideal as a central place to stay. Bedding and towels clean. Bed comfy. Breakfast was plentiful and good value. Evening menu pub grub. Staff were helpful.

Disappointed I couldn't get early breakfast on Saturday before my journey. Left at 7 30 and breakfast didn't start till 9am. Would have been good to be able to order food to be delivered to my room. As a single female traveller, sometimes it's preferable to eating in a busy pub. However minor niggles. Overall satisfied with venue.

Very good

Just what I needed.

Clean and comfortable. Staff incredibly friendly and helpful. Good location. The Pub itself was also friendly, I didnt feel uncomfortable as a single woman.

Room was a bit tired. It was a bit noisy, but I expect that if I book a room in a busy and popular pub.
