Disappointing

The breakfast, staff and comportability of the beds

We made a request during booking to be in higher floor. We were with a little kids and the whole point of closing the hotel was to see the city from above with them. When we arrived - they actually told us that they didn't take the request into consideration and ignored it (in their words - people checked in before you today so they got the higher floors). I asked to recheck what can be done as we paid a very high price because of the location and the option to see it from above, they took 2 and half hours, when it actually seemed that nobody is checking anything and everytime they looked at me confused when i came to ask. Eventually, we got a low floor, no apology or offer for compensation. The room that we got looks much more old than the rooms in the pictures, 80is hotel style. I had to extend my stay for 2 extra days after that, for business matters, everytime I came to ask for an extension, I recieved a higher price than online, even that I extending and I'm already there and there are available rooms. That was a great opportunity for them to suggest some kind of compensation but non was offered but late checkout. I actually booked online in front of them. In the second extention I insisted that ill receive the same price as online without having to go through the whole process, luckily a manager was there so she understood the issue and the tried to fix things. Eventually - the issue there was management issue - in every other hotel in the first place they would take the request under consideration, and of a mistake was made - they would try to fix it,. apologies or compensate. Here it looks like they just didn't have these routines. I have. Been in various holiday inn in thailand, and many many hotels, for this kind of a hotel it makes no sense to act this way...

The highlight of our stays is always the delightful very well trained staff who make us feel at home

The buffet breakfast is always good. The staff service is excellent and food choice is very good.

I have stayed in The Holiday Inn, Silom for 7 years, 4/5 times a year for 3 to 5 nights each visit, on average. My wife and I have always enjoyed evenings in Harys bar because of the excellent staff service and particularly the very professional standard of the musical entertainment provided by Pedrito and his wife. We were very disappointed to see that Pedrito is no longer with the hotel. I dont like to be critical of people trying their best on stage but your replacement musical duo are very poor replacements. As a result, on our last visit to the hotel we spent very little time in the bar. Silence or an alternative of Pedritos quality would have been a lot better.

We loved everything! Large, spacious room with 2 large comfortable beds. The food is very good. The food was diverse, tasty, of high quality (fish, seafood, oysters, etc.) and international (pizza, Thai dishes, Japanese dishes, etc.). We had breakfast and dinner. Both were buffets with many options. Good location, central to the hotel, close to the bus station and 5-7 minutes from the river.
