    Had a wonderful and relaxing time at the Hostal Alegre and would definitely recommend to anyone.
    Lovely studio apartment, everything I needed, great location, super-comfortable bed, lovely and clean. Everything was really great and would definitely want to return in the future. Super friendly hosts who made my stay very enjoyable and everything was easy and smooth.

    The hostel was cleaned daily and is in a great location. Room was very quiet, easy walking distance to the centre, great local bars and the staff extremely friendly and helpful

    Very pleasant stay
    Jarno & Cecilia are excellent hosts. Always willing to provide any information requested and offering tips to help us get the best from our holiday. Check-in was hassle-free and our entire stay was very enjoyable. We stayed in a self-catering suite with an excellent terrace. Whilst some aspects of the property are slightly dated, we had everything we needed and the bed was extremely comfortable (I'm 1.96 metres ). One of the reasons we chose the property was greater access to parking than the heart of the old town. This turned out to be very helpful and the short walk to the restaurants etc was very pleasant. It was a pleasure staying with Jarno & Cecilia and we would happily recommend their property.

    Spacious, well equipped apartment about 10 mins walk from the beach
    Spacious, well equipped apartment with a balcony and (!) a huge patio. Very kind and responsive hosts, Jarno helped out with everything, gave us beach towels free of charge and lent me a book I ended up keeping because I hadnt finished it before we left. Great experience, well recommended.
    It tends to get a bit noisy as its next to the main road. Some curtains would also do be a good idea as the flat is on the ground floor, so youre either in the dark or fully out in everyones sight.

    A lovely place to stay, highly recommended!
    Our stay at Hostal Alegre was amazing, Cecilia & Jarno are the best of hosts. Their love and care show in every detail of the place. Very pleasant, clean, and comfortable. The bar is also super nice and worth a stay for a drink and some homemade tapas. And whenever we were in need of any recommendations or advice, they were extremely helpful as well. When you are there, you can really feel how much they enjoy being hosts, interacting with their guests, and doing everything to make their stay worthwhile. We would definitely book there again if we return to the area.

    Great place.
    The couple running the hostel were really friendly and very helpful. They gave us great advice about where to go each day and how to get there. There was a good selection of books to read so that when I finished my book earlier than planned, I was able to exchange it for another. The hostel is located close to a couple of supermarkets and is only a 10 minute walk away from where you can catch the main buses. I would definitely stay here again if I came back to Nerja.
    There wasn't anything I didn't like about my accommodation. I would recommend this to anyone.

    Not right in the hustle and bustle, but easy enough to walk to beach and shopping area. Large supermarket practically next door.
    WiFi in our room wasn't good, kept dropping out.

    Probably the best run small hotel I have ever stayed in!
    The owners were beyond lovely and hospitable! Couldnt have asked for friendlier hosts! We were given a map of nerja and they showed us all the hotspots. They made our trip so lovely and easy we will definitely be back! The rooms & balcony were so beautiful, I didnt want to leave!!
    Everything was fantastic!
