The place was good and clean. The region is not central, but is a very nice and calm, with some restaurants and stores nearby. The room didn't have a private bathroom (what I already knew), but it at least had a sink inside the room, what helps a lot.

Not so close to public transportation, but it was ok to walk for a few minutes.

Clean rooms, very organized and the location is okay.

It's not possible to control the heater inside the room. It was not so cold, so the temperature inside the room was too warm and it was not possible to change or turn off.

In decades of international travel, I've never encountered a more hospitable establishment. The staff accommodated our odd arrival and departure times, acquainted us with the neighborhood and the city as a whole, told us about places to eat and places to visit, explained the transport system and gave us a map, everything. Staying here truly enriched our time in Barcelona! It may not be luxurious -- you share the bathrooms with other guests -- but it's spotlessly clean and quiet and safe, you have excellent kitchen privileges, and the helpfulness of the staff is unmatched. We would absolutely stay here again!

The location is great as long as you're comfortable walking or hopping on the excellent public transit. We walked to Sagrada Familia and various other sites -- a great way to get a sense of the city's vibe while delighting in Barcelona's architecture -- then, when tired, we caught an always-convenient bus or tram. Our host helped make all this easy.
