    Does not feel like hotel or at home. Felt like staying over at a moody uncle's house.
    Spa area is good although it only opens in the evening and you need to inform the owner at least 1 hour before using the spa.
    I booked the place for 3 nights but ended up checked out early because I had a very awkward situation with the owner. First, due to my plan change, and my friend wanted to come to join me for the trip, I texted the owner months in advance via booking.com if it would be possible because the booking is not modifiable. He said I had to pay extra 90 chf per night to have my friend stay, and he will prepare the room for 2 persons. So We had a deal. When I arrived at the place, the owner forgot our deal and strongly insisted that my friend could not stay because we book the room for one person. I have to find a message we talked and showed to him so that he remembered and allowed my friend to stay. Yet he couldnt give us a room with 2 person and he said "it would be ok just for one night stay" Very bad first impression and my friend had to squeeze in a single room with me. On the next morning, we had early breakfast before 8am so that we have more time to rest before we go out. As soon as we left our room, the owner managed to have the cleaner remove everything for second person in the room [pillow/blanket/water glass/towel]. We have not even showered, and it was not even a checkout time ! I felt really bad for my friend because he had to pay extra for a small room/bed and felt like being kicked out of the property. Personally, we felt the owner is kind of racist and does not treat us with respect. So beware to stay at this place if you are not white. For overall review of the property, although the place is categorized as a 3 star hotel, the place feels neither like a hotel nor at home. It felt more like you are staying over at your relative's house and you have to behave. You dont feel like "paying guest" but the owners gave you the vibe that they will scold you if you do something wrong. In short, book this place if you want the experience of staying over with a moody uncle.

    Peaceful stay - a home away from home!!
    THE BEST stay for my first trip to Grindelwald!! Everything about this family run hotel was lovely - the people, the views, the room, the breakfast. I highly recommend to anyone that wants a peaceful stay - this is the place!! They made me feel so welcomed as a solo traveler, while checking me in late at night when my luggage was lost at the airport. This hotel felt like a home away from home. Thank you! I hope to be back.

    Perfect location, 2minute from the station Lovely Eiger view from the room
    Make sure you close the balcony door when leaving the room if you are staying 1st floor, since there are some bugs coming into the room

    Absolutely loved this place. Parking was offered at the hotel and cheap
    Breakfast was very good and the views were absolutely incredible! The room was cleans and comfortable
    There is no elevator so if you have trouble with stairs youll need to let them know.
