Very good

A pleasant, clean hotel where everything works as it should. Not much more to say!

The only thing I could think of is that the bathroom in the single room I had was a bit on the smallish side. It's only a question of getting used to it, though.

Very pleasant place in central yet quiet location

As others have pointed out, hotel is a bit dated. That said, it's kept in reasonably good shape and has all the essentials for a comfortable stay. Paintings all over the staircase and shared areas are really impressive! Bathroom was a bit on the small side but sufficient. Air conditioning unit looked dated as well but did the job very well, Room was quite spacious with a lot of place for storage. Breakfasts were simple and repeatable yet fresh and tasty. For a longer stay you'd get bored but for a few days they did the job. Good communication with reception staff. Cleaning staff didn't speak any English, but well - it's hardly mandatory, it's Italy; can't fault the cleanliness though and they did their job admirably. Overall, a very pleasant stay in a somewhat quirky place.

A pretty hotel but not for eveyone

Hotel Jolie is well located and has a lift which does not reach the 2nd floor you still have to carry bags up a short flight of stairs; but it does fully service the third floor. Breakfast was OK and the young man who serviced the breakfast area was very pleasant and helpful. One of the young men on the reception desk was also helpful.

The Hotel Jolie has in the past, been presented awards. These may not be applicable at the moment. The Belle Epoque, Hotel Jolie, has sad flower vases and tired spaces and rooms. In the bathroom ensuite we occupied the toilet was wedged between the shower and the wall making it tricky for the larger person to access it. I am 68 kilos and I found it tricky. The whole space was very small and awkward. However, it was the indifferent attitude of some staff which was most distressing and the outright rudeness of one reception staffer i.e. the older lady was unforgivable! I have never seen or heard a concierge leave the reception desk stand in the foyer of a hotel and scream in English followed by a string of rude and unpleasant comments in Italian when asked, during the early evening: if the bar was open. I would like to point out that the bar, we were told by other staff, was supposed to be open while the reception desk was open. To witness such antics by this older female staff member was in short, horrific!

Good stay which could have been improved by a cleaner room

Location wss great and staff was very helpful and friendly. Room had an interesting old look and feel

We got room 109 which was not very accessible because of a stair at the entrance that you had to come down on in order to get to the room. Also, it didn't seem very clean, dusty wall on the bedside, and small spots of mold in the bathroom shower.
