    Excellent hotel, great staff
Excellent hotel. Great & friendly staff. The room & bed were very well-appointed & comfortable. Parking & wifi were free, available and good. The breakfast was good as well and they make very good omelettes if you ask. Would definitely recommend this hotel.
Minor complaint: the shower cabin thing in my room needed to be made a little more water-tight. But this is apparently a one-off since no other rooms complained about it. So, could be a manufacturer's fault as well.

Great quality breakfast. Clean and comfortable rooms, spacious and quiet. Attractive decor and ambience throughout the hotel. Friendly hospitality.
Coffee making facilities were lacking capsules and milk/creamer, located in the hallway rather than in the room. The walk to catch a tram is quite some distance.

Convenient location to Ghent, breakfast was delicious & most friendly staff
Location was easy access to Ghent by tram or cab. Staff were very friendly & even called us a cab, gave us detailed travel directions & maps. Inside was very nice, deceiving from the outside. Beds were comfortable. Breakfast is as delicious.
Rooms were a small, we needed to get 2 rooms for family of 4. Its an old house, so you hear everything, halls were noisy when people were coming in late, walking around & closing doors.

    Very clean and comfortable hotel
Very clean and comfortable hotel. Location just on the outskirts of Ghent, which was handy when travelling by car. Tram was only 10 minute walk away to get into Ghent. Breakfast was nice. Parking was free.
Bad smell would occasional come from sink drain when using it. Also one of the lamps and one of the power sockets were broken in the room.

    Good
Cosy countryside hotel for visitors of (not only) Ghent
The hotel has a nice, family-like, countryside feel. The location is great for an access by car (just a couple of hundreds of meters from a highway), the public transport to the center is not too far either (tram stop about 10 minutes of walk). A supermarket near was also a big plus. The inside of the hotel looks a little bit like a labyrinth first, but it turns out not to be a big problem. The room was OK, as was the bathroom. The breakfasts were really good, a great choice of chees, breads, hams etc. We enjoyed the light space for breakfasts, as well as the cosy bar for coffee or the seating outside (e.g. for a glass of wine or beer).
We found the pillows rather uncomfortable. Also, it took the water quite some time to turn warm (and then another time to turn cold again), perhaps due to the length of the building/pipings (?). In the very hot summer we would deffinitely use some air conditioning (at least for the future this seems to be a must). The rest was rather a bad luck: Rules for not leaving animals unattended need to be enforced more strictly (the poor dog kept barking in the room next to us for hours); after the fire alarm turning on due to some steam going out of the bathroom in a room on our floor, instructions (or at least signs) need to be added (it's common in other countries), I guess.
