Excellent location for a first time stay in Funchal

Hotel located in the centre of Funchal - minutes from the cathedral and the promenade.Pleasant helpful staff and breakfast was ok.Close to Hop on Off buses.Airport bus is stop 7 and it was 8 euros return which is excellent. Late checkout 12.00 midday.

Junior suite did not look like the photos - it was definitely dressed for the photos which was a disappointment. Balcony was tiny and there was no real view (2nd floor) so maybe a higher floor would be better. Tiny bathroom No coffee or creamer - just tea which seems strange in a coffee drinking country.

Can improve in some points, but overall very pleasent! Would recommend

The location was just amazing. At the very center of Funchal. Quick access to transports if needed as well, very close to a mall, restaurants and touristic places.

The rooms could be more modern and well decorated, but otherwise it was comfortable and clean.
