A nice surprise!

The Hotel was a very nice surprise: a great location with a wonderful view. The hotel has its own parking. The rooms are very big. There was a wonderful breakfast with a wide variety, managed by Tomi. The entire staff was really nice and helpful.

A tiny bit on the outside, takes more than 20 minutes to get to the city by bus. Bus stop ist 10 min walking distance

Everything. The view of the see, the friendliness of the staff. Great breakfast, prepared/served by Tony, a super nice character. Also the Malvasia at the bar was delicious and affordable. Great bed and great room.

OK

We expected more from this hotel. During our six week trip through northern Italy, we booked in many hotels in older/historic buildings or old villas and most were exceptional. The exterior of this building is gorgeous. We booked a sea view room, and were given a musty-smelling room on a basement floor, with no view of the sea, and unattended lawn outside. Because we were seaside in Trieste and had booked a sea view room, we expected to see the sea, not grass. The staff was lackluster, except for the lovely man at breakfast who was charming. Breakfast was very good, as was lunch on the patio.
