    Nice but trudging through mud when it rains not great.
    Dependable relaxed and attractive.
    In the rain the walkways became mud. This should be figured out for rainy days.

    The location was perfect - right by all the cool shops in SOCO! The design of the hotel itself was perfect. Maybe I'm biased because it's exactly my vibe, but the minimal design with the emphasis of lots of greenery, trees, etc. was gorgeous. Lots of natural lighting in the rooms. I LOVE when a hotel actually focuses on things that matter. A super comfy bed and amazing bath products... felt healthier just staying here. Super sweet and informative staff, gave me tons of recs for cool vintage shops.
    I thought everything was perfect. Honestly I think the only thing was that I was in the only room that's directly on Congress street - but that's just because I had to be up at 4am to catch a flight.

    Convenience is the San Joses only bragging rights.
    The location couldnt have been better. Walking distance to so many shops and restaurants. I liked the door separating the sleeping area from the bathroom. There were numerous outlets for charging devices. Despite the convenience and our Austin sons strong encouragement that we stay at the San Jose, next time well stay elsewhere with amenities commonly found in other hotels.
    For the price we paid, I expected a microwave and coffee maker. The room was very small and the bathroom didnt have a counter surrounding the lavatory to put things-cosmetics, etc., and that was inconvenient. We couldve parked on the street for no charge but didnt know that and paid $30/day to park in your lot which elevated the already pricey accommodations.
