    Not the Taj, but a good value.
    Hotel is situated near the beach, Avis and train statiion. Staff is responsive and pleasant.
    Room doors don't close easily and can be loud.

    Stayed at Hotel Sao Mamede for a couple of weeks
    The hotel was clean, the shower was great and the staff were very friendly.
    It was too hot in the room; the air con was quite noisy so you could not sleep with it on. The breakfast was from 8am; we usually left before that so only had breakfast once. The hotel was located at a busy street so traffic was a bit disturbing.

    Excellent for the money we paid friendly staff very clean
    It was value for money very clean which is important at any level of cost the room was adequate for what we need .wanted a double bed but only had 2 singles available.Breakfast was very nice good variety of food available.
    Extra plug sockets in the room.off Road parking at the front of hotel.Double bed as requested

    Room too small and shower head was broken.
    Breakfast was ok. Location was good
    Shower head was broken and would become dislodged with water pressure and spray the whole room. Phone plug was held together with tape. The room was too small to even place an open suitcase.

    The best priced accommodation within close proximity of Ironman Cascais. Beautiful beachfront walk all the way to Cascais. Friendly and helpful staff.

    This is a relatively simple hotel very close to the Estoril train station and the beach. Cascais is too train stations away, but can also easily walked to by the promenade or by the road. Our triple room was on the small really for three people, but adequate and according to the description. We liked the breakfast - continental breakfast, but quite a few things on offer, several choices of toast bread/buns, ham and cheese, cherry tomatoes, pastry, yogurts, jam, fruit, coffee, juices. Also the breakfast area and the lounge area are roomy and nice.

    We had a small issue, they had forgotten to add the extra bed for my son. We checked in and left, when we got back it was in but in a really small room. We asked for a room move for the following day. Ftima from reception went out of her way to accommodate all our needs and surprised us with a bottle of wine for my husband's birthday (which she noticed during check in). Everyone can make a mistake, what matters is how professionals handle it.
    The location is just perfect to take the train into Lisbon or anywhere else, the drawback is the noisy road, drivers seem to be in a race every time they get a red green light after stopping at the red light. I'm sure that with the window closed is not as noisy. They have A/C in the room but we preferred the window open despite of the noise. The room doesn't have enough outlets. We would disconnect the phone to charge our cells.
