SHORT Story before I start my review. I have grown up in Lacco Ameno were I was born and moved to the UK aged 3, I know the area really well but have always stayed in private rented homes. This year I wanted to try something different and I always walk past this hotel. Safe to say it was the worst decision I made. I hated Everything pretty much. The room was not suitable for a family of three. The staff came every other day to change the towels but not the sheets and the floor was always dirty. I added a note when booking that we would require a small bed for my three year old daughter and upon arrival we got given the smallest room. As well as this I was made to feel bad that I should have called a week prior to arrange the room situation and they never read the additional notes we can add to the booking through booking.com. We spent 11 nights on two single beds pushed together. I did ask reception to change our room even if it meant an additional payment for an upgrade but we were never looked at again and just ignored. On the first night I asked for an iron and I was practically shouted at for asking. When I finally got my hands on the iron a few night later it had a broken handle and didnt even work. In a hotel that claims to be luxury and have over 88 rooms 1 iron about the size of my hand is pretty abysmal. Speaking about the rooms if you think you are booking the room shown on booking.com you will be in for a huge surprise. Its nothing like the pictures shown on booking.com. It looks nothing like the pictures and is much smaller. I wanted a room that was suitable for three people and from the pictures the room we thought we were getting definitely was suitable but got the complete opposite when we got there. When I challenged reception about the room not looking/being anything like what I booked.
