    Great location, friendly and diligent staff, rooms were small but ergonomic and comfortable
    Very central. The reception and breakfast room was bright and airy. I liked the historical theme and subtle historical information. Having a place to park was very useful.
    The rooms were a little cramped as there was limited space to put luggage and little storage.

    Excellent location and a great base!
    It was in a great location, perfect if you are going to the ferry for rottnest! Near all the restaurants which are very good.
    Room was small, not much space to hang up clothing - great for a short trip stay!

    Great location, fabulous bed
    Room was smaller than expected. The outdoor bar next to the hotel, we were in room 101 so right next to the bar and the music until early morning was quite disturbing

    Great location but disappointing and poor value for money
    Great location and friendly staff
    You literally stay in a sea container. There is no view out the window and no balcony. For a long weekend staycation this was a huge disappointment after reading all the great reviews. I won't stay at the Hougoumont Hotel again and at the price it is very poor value for money. The staff was helpful enough to transfer us to their other hotel directly across the street (The New Haus Hotel), which was a big improvement.

    Great location and funky vibe
    The bed wasnt comfy, could feel the supports underneath No milk in room to use the coffee machine Breakfast was disappointing and they didnt have enough glasses for the customers. Felt like an afterthought- would have been better to have none then been able to visit a nearby cafe
