Exceptional

It exceeded my expectations

I was really surprised by this place. The cabins are very clean and ultimately offer exactly what you see - a place to sleep and spend one or several nights on the Isle of Skye at a very economical price. The bathroom is small but you don't need much more. The beds are very comfortable, which is great because you're likely to be very tired from exploring Skye. The door opens by pulling the handle upwards, and there's a super cozy bar at the reception.

Disappointing

The camping pods were as advertised and was clean.

The beds were uncomfortable. There was no space for luggage. There was no access to the building with the reception, the light was turned off and there was no staff for the duration of our stay. For the price I expected it to be nicer. There weren't even any mugs. Why have a kettle when there is nowhere to put tea/coffee.

Beautiful location. Communal Bar area seemed pleasant.

POD we stayed in was "tired"... Bathroom floor was spongy and had clearly been damaged previously. Kettle did not fit on its base properly

If you like raw nature and dramatic scenery this is definitely the place for your stay.

The place is super nice, totally immersed in nature, but still super close to the main city of Portree (40 mins by foot and if you take the bus and ask the driver to be let down at wthe beginning of Braes road is just a 5 min walk). The owners are super nice and very helpful, I told them about an issue on a remote control for the telly and the next morning they brought a new one. The pods are really tidy and have all you might need of you're going camping. The central bar has local products (beer and scotch) as much as more commercial stuff.

There is nothing I did not like about the place. Everything was well advertised, therefore you could not say there was something you were not expecting.

The camping place is child and dog friendly. That was one of the highlights for us. Another major point is it is located very near to the Portree. I vad beautiful view of the sky from my window. Looking at those stars was mesmerising.

The pod is nothing but a wooden tent. The toilet was leaking, there were dirt's on the side and under the beds, there was nothing to sweep or clean the pod, no tables. Although there's one table and bench outside each pod but it's not a weather proof. If one wants to eat inside there's no facilities. In the family pod, you can barely move without bumping into other. Either one of the single beds should be removed or a slightly bigger pod should be allocated for family pod.
