beautiful choice for Santorini, but for the same price there is better elsewhere in the Cyclades

th design creating a really cocoon atmosphere, the pool is one of the most beautiful I ever saw the breakfast was very very good and so nice not to have a buffet very helpful staff with the reservations

nice staff but a bit non professional, we were often disturbed in our room despite a clear sign on the door, employees were very loud around the pool, the diner experience was underwhelming to say the least ( not so tasty food, pricy and we didnt get to order desert, the chef had already left). the location is not that great and the surroundings are lacking and unfortunately you see them from your terrasse

Absolutely amazing hotel with the best service ever. Definitely going back.

Front desk services was absolutely amazing. The rooms was stylish, yet comfortable. The pool and beach area was excellent. Isabella at the front desk made us feel so welcome and taken care off. She ensured that our stay in Santorini was just perfect and that we had such a great experience.

Cocktails a bit too expensive compared to the rest of the island.

Beautiful aesthetic but wouldnt return due to lack of care for customer satisfaction

Fantastic breakfast, great location, beautiful aesthetic, mostly nice staff.

We paid almost 2k for 3 nights (650pn) for the most basic suite, which was called the Saga Suite - and it was just a normal room. It looked over to the hotel pool next door and had a cleaning cupboard next to it, so there was lots of noise. When we checked in I saw that there was a much better suite called Recit with a private pool which was less money than we had spent - this frustrated me. Surely booking in advance should secure the best deal? I asked about this and if we could change rooms and coincidently the room vanished from the website and booking.com because someone had apparently booked it. I understand Istoria want all rooms sold, but to sell one of the best rooms in the hotel for less money than a current customer has paid for the most basic room, is a sure way to leave them feeling hard done by. I had also informed Istoria prior to arrival that we would arrive at 12pm but they made us wait until 3pm on the dot until we were allowed to check into a room. They only have 12 rooms and we were only one of a few guests to check in that day, so prioritising a room for guests they know are arriving early would have been nice. We had just come from Aperto Suites in Fira who allowed us into our room from 11am and provided exceptional service. Ultimately the customer service is what let this hotel down for us. Had they allowed us to check in an hour early and recognised that we were paying a premium price for a basic room and changed our room accordingly, we would have enjoyed this better. We feel we overpaid.

This is the place for peace, quiet, and great sunrises.

Everyone was extremely genuinely friendly, which seems to be the way in the Cyclades. Of course, the breakfast was amazing, and it was in an open-air space protected from the sun. Actually, much of the hotel was open-air, including the reception desk. It was also just across the small road from the beach, and the hotel owns a stretch of beach just for the guests. It is well located to catch the sunrise, which can be spectacular, and even just walking around the neighborhood is interesting as there are a number of small farms and the like. Some ways down the beach are some excellent restaurants. You don't need a car at all if you are just coming to relax. The masseuse at the hotel did an excellent job on me. She could really dig in and get the knots out of my muscles. After my session, I didn't have any aches or pains at night as I otherwise so often do.

Will absolutely be back!

The food and experience were great! This was the last leg of our trip and it was nice to wind down with a massage and relaxation/drinks by the pool! We loved all the staff, especially the bartenders!! The drink and food menu had plenty to pick from. The hotel made several accommodations for us, which was very helpful, including taxi rides to and from Oia. Would highly recommend this hotel!
