Superb

The facility was excellent, the room was large and well presented. I loved that I had a bathtub in my room. It was also in a great location and was easy to find. The room also had a pod coffee machine and a kettle.

The parking spaces were very snug, it was difficult to park and get baggage in and out of my car. The breakfast was only toast/cereal etc. no hot food. It was very difficult for someone with dietary requirements. I asked for gluten free toast and it was brought out from the back, but not well toasted. There were no signs to let me know that I could request gluten free, or signage on the foods offered in the buffet. I also ordered a "barista" coffee, that was definitely made with a push button machine.

Good

Clean, comfortable, pleasant. Good for families with children.

Very clean and comfortable rooms. Good location. Comfortable bed. Good shower. Friendly staff. Nice surprise to see the children's toys and play area at the top of the stairs. Our toddler loved that.

It was a bit pricey. The breakfast was quite basic. The pool was smaller than it looked from the pictures.

Definitely not recommended.

The room was big. The car park was a big plus.

First thing we noticed is that the hotel is not so clean - the carpet on the stairs was dirty, also the elevator floor. The breakfast area could use some more cleaning too (chairs with breadcrumbs, for instance). Trays with leftovers from room service were left overnight in the hallway. Then there was a bad smell in the room - no, it was not the outside sulphuric air, but it was a sewage smell. We tried to explain the receptionist in various ways, we even provided a temporary solution (to cover the floor drain). Firstly, they tried to suggest that is a false problem as they do not feel the smell (dont know how is that even possible!). Then, after some discussions they tried to help finding a solution. Sad thing is that the problem was not fully understood, as the solution is not a simple scale solution.This is generally caused by an issue with what is called the p-trap; a U-shaped pipe that holds a little water in it to form a seal that prevents sewer gases from creeping up and out the plumbing fixture. Anyway, we do hope they will call a professional in to fix this as the gases coming out of the sewage are very unhealthy. Last, but not least, the breakfast was the worst continental breakfast we had in years - mostly sweet options, very limited savory items looking not very fresh, tasteless white toast, instant coffee (in a country with very good coffee). What was even more bothering was that the missing food was not replaced in a timely manner. Strange thing is that we did have espresso machine in the room and good coffee pods. So, do not pay extra for breakfast and go to the supermarket across the street and get what you need and use the mini refrigerator in the room. We requested the invoice upon check out, they refused to issue it saying that I need to get it from Booking.com. I got the invoice from any accommodation I booked through Booking.com in New Zealand and around the world - not this time.
