It was the worst hotel experience I have ever had in my life. The staff are extremely rude and infuriating. I arrived on Saturday and checked in some time between 3-4pm. When I entered the room I felt that it was very warm but I didnt pay much attention as I had to drop off my luggages and leave to go to an event. I left within 10 minutes and came back at around 10.30pm. When I got into the room it was boiling hot. I tried turning on the a/c for cold air and it wasnt working. I went downstairs to tell the receptionist and he said that their a/c is not working for cold air and that they have central heating on in the whole hotel as its winter and they could not turn it off in my room and that there was nothing they could do about it. ( winter in Cyprus is 20 degrees during the day so imagine)They were trying to instruct me to feel cold (even if it was hot) and were asking me to bear the heat in that room by force. This was insane. The people in that hotel are not well I believe. I said that they advertised the room in booking with air-conditioning which means cold air too and since it wasnt working I wanted to leave and get a refund. I was going back and forth with the receptionist and a representative from booking.com over the phone to help me find another accommodation and get my money back. Booking was with me understanding my situation that since the room did not include everything as advertised then I should get my money back as I could not breathe in that room due to my health condition which does not allow such hot temperature. The manager of the hotel was insisting to not refund me the money. Their solution was for me to wear less clothes or open the window. Bear in mind I was only wearing a t-shirt and jeans. In Cyprus as I said during the day it is 20-21 degrees and this hotel had central heating on which made the rooms boil at night even more due to the absorption of the heat.
