    The stay at Kyoto Itoya was great and we appreciate the staff very much!
    convenient to transport ,room size just right, comfortable bed, clean, staff very helpful. bathroom area with Japan-style soaking tub and toilet area separate!

    Great location and clean. Big bathroom especially for Japan.
    A bit pricey for what you get. Room on the smaller side, a bit difficult to open the suitcase in. Single-glazed windows so you can still hear the traffic at night. Not ideal if you're sensitive to noise.

    Decent stay - away from the heavy crowds!
    Big room, friendly staff, clean. Loved the free welcome drink. Bed is comfy. If you want to have a break from the endless crowds of Kyoto, this is nicely out of the way. 20-30 min walk to the big touristy areas.
    They won't clean your room for stays 4 nights and under (but will change towels and take out trash). I think they should update to keycards as it is much safer for guest access. Location is a bit inconvenient compared to other placecs we have stayed.
