    We stayed in the Curlew Hut for 2 nights over New Year 2023/2024. The huts are really well equipped and very comfortable. The huts are situated very well in terms of nearby amenities (lots of eateries to choose from). Our host Nicky was really great in keeping us updated on our stay and provided very useful information about the stay. We're already planning our next trip back.
    The weather, mother nature cannot be stopped

    Cosy, quiet and great views.
    Gorgeous shepherds hut in a perfect, quiet location. Close enough to all the local towns and pubs whilst still being far enough out that its peaceful with great views of the countryside. The dogs were welcomed as much as we were. Very comfortable and cosy.
    Nothing! It was lovely and will be visiting again.

    Luxurious and tranquil stay overlooking the beautiful Peak District
    Pure luxury - everything was so well thought out and crafted for us to have a purely relaxing stay. The fantastic hosts even got my wife a birthday card, chocolates and balloon - beyond expectations and so thoughtful. The interior is stunning - cant recommend this hidden gem enough to people.

    The location was stunning and the amenities were excellent. Finished to a very high standard the Shepherds hut had everything you could possibly need for an enjoyable and relaxing stay. Everything had been thought of it was like a boutique hotel room absolutely lovely
    The property is gorgeous in a fabulous location the footpath from the car park through the orchard could be improved but to be fair the weekend we stayed saw masses of heavy rain

    Perfect . Location and views just amazing . The shepherds hut was fully loaded with all you need for your stay .
    From the moment we connected Nicky we was kept fully informed we ask questions which Nicky replied swiftly which was much appreciated .

    Best stay ever!
    We loved the whole stay, the fact that Nicky went above and beyond, a lovely bottle of bubbly on arrival and some little snacks, the whole place was so clean and had everything we needed, even fresh milk! Nicky had thought of absolutely everything. Cleanliness was a massive thing for us and had even brought with us our own cleaning supplies just in case, and didn't need to use them as the place was spotless! The place was so cosy, the views were amazing and Nicky was so attentive without being too much (which we've had in other places and haven't been left alone to enjoy). The wood fire was amazing with wood and kindling supplied, extra at cost (fair enough as there is heating anyway). We found the stay exactly what we needed with plenty around to do and see, but also in the middle of nowhere so we could just relax.

    Only thing I would say, the track road down to the huts is quite high for my little corsa so I had to half drive on the grass and half on the track road - my fault for driving a tiny car in the countryside

    This place offered a cozy and quiet atmosphere, ideally situated for exploring the nearby hiking trails. The host was exceptionally helpful, providing valuable recommendations for both hikes and local dining. The cleanliness and well-equipped space met all our needs, and the thoughtful details throughout the hut added a charming touch. If you're looking for a peaceful getaway with easy access to nature and attentive hosting, I highly recommend this gem of a place
    While the overall experience and the host's attentiveness met expectations, the higher price may be a consideration for some.
