Overall Disappointing

The restaurant was good, Has several nice dinners there. The buildings are okay. One older structure and a newer separate complex.

Overall disappointing. The decore and decorating are sub par. The location is underwhelming. I appreciate that it is supposed to be out of the city and on a farm but there are nothing but fields all around. No olive groves or vineyards. But there are plenty of bugs and flies. Our patio was useless as a result. The grounds are not well kept. The place needs some attention to detail We really wanted to stay at a Masseria. This looked promising but I am sure there are better ones than this. You will most definately need a car to get there from Matera. About a 10 to 15 minute drive into the country.

Physical; property and rooms were a bit sparse. Rooms were nice but bedding needed more pillows

Perfectly relaxing, stunning hotel

We visited Matera as part of a road trip along Amalfi and around Puglia. This was one of my favourite hotels and one night wasnt long enough! The rooms are very well done, the setting is stunning, the pool is lovely, and breakfast was great. A very very peaceful and rustic luxury-feeling stay that offered great value for money!

Its worth noting that the hotel, being a farmhouse, isnt that close to Matera and you will require a car.

location - surrounded by agriculture about 20 minutes from Matera.

Breakfast could be a lot better. No hot food. Buffet not refreshed very well.

The property is spacious and well designed. Each room is huge! We loved the pool area and the service. Breakfast was sufficient and we enjoyed a lovely meal in the restaurant.

Peaceful countryside stay near Matera and the beach - a great roadtrip base!

The staff was incredibly friendly and helpful, especially Annalisa! She explained everything, answered all of my questions, and even walked around to check in with all the guests on several occasions. She was overall a very friendly hostess! The pool area is fantastic after a day of exploring or for a full day of rest on a longer trip. They offer drink service at the pool which is a real treat! My room also had a terrace where I could lounge and have my own drinks and snacks within walking distance to the pool. Wifi was strong throughout the property, which is not always standard in such a remote location, so bonus points for that! The maids were flexible and always confirmed when the best time would be to clean the room. Very friendly ladies always greeting the guests! If you are staying in the satellite building by the pool, you can park in the lot right next to the side entrance so you are not walking on pebbles with your luggage - a nice thoughtful, gesture. Lastly, it is very accessible to the city of Matera (only 10 minutes drive) or the beaches of Metaponto (1 hour with traffic, shorter if no traffic) It goes without saying you need your own car to stay here.

My only suggestion is to put up a more visible sign as to where to check in upon arrival - I followed the sign to the main building and tried multiple doors before contacting Annalisa, who answered me immediately and came out to find me. I'd put up a little sign directing people to go around into the courtyard. Otherwise, I have no complaints, everything was fantastic - I will be back!
