    Fully renovated in summer 2021 and situated in peaceful surroundings on the edge of Zermatt, the chalet-style 4-star superior Matthiol Boutique Hotel features exclusive wellness facilities and a 10% (Read More)discount on ski rental. Free transfers from the Zermatt Train Station are offered.The wellness area includes a herbal sauna, a steam bath, and a Finnish sauna, and can be used free of charge. The fitness room is also available at no extra cost.All rooms in the Matthiol Hotel have free WiFi access, life TV Streaming and coffee machine. Most also feature a balcony with views of the Matterhorn or Gornergrat.The trendy restaurant serves Swiss and international cuisine, with locally and nationally sourced ingredients, prepared from scratch. In the winter time, cheese fondue is served in outside huts. Breakfast consist of buffet and hot items to order.Zermatt is a car-free resort, and the hotel offers a free pick-up service from Zermatt Train Station or the taxi rank between 08:00 and 21:00 on the day or arrival and departure. The nearest bus stop is just a 2-minute walk away, and local buses can be used free of charge with the ski pass.With good snow condition, the hotel can be reached by ski from Furi and in the morning ski-out is possible from the hotel depending on snow cover and conditions.

    Beautiful hotel
    It was truly the best experience. The staff were very friendly, and although the location of the accommodation was a bit rough, it was comfortable thanks to the luggage transportation service. The accommodation was comfortable and perfect, from the sauna facilities to the gym. The bedding was also very good. My wife was also very satisfied. This is an accommodation I want to come back to again in the future.

    Perfect place to stay in Zermatt.
    Perfect place to stay in Zermatt. The hotel itself is very nicely decorated and has a homely feel, with fireplaces in the bar and restaurant. Zermatt is small so even though the hotel is located a bit out of town, everything is pretty close. The free shuttle to and from the train station is great and was definitely needed for the trips with luggage. The staff were very accommodating and friendly.

    Views. Outdoor hot tub near bar. Quaint spa. THE FRIENDLIEST STAFF. The owner and his wife worked the front desk and cleaned tables. I want to work there!!

    The shower stall get flooded fast and over flows into the toilet stall.
