    Excellent, highly recommend.
    Great value, the best hotel experience in France so far. Located 5mins walk from train/tram/bus at Gare St Jean, which is a huge advantage. Outside is an older industrial area currently undergoing redevelopment, but inside the hotel is an oasis of safety and calm, and staff are considerate and helpful. Room was clean and spacious, bathroom great, wifi was good - the entire hotel is well-maintained. Travellers' facilities (bar, kitchen, breakfast buffet, children's spaces) were convenient and cheap. As an older traveller, I was expecting a backpacker hotel full of young people, but there were many families and business people staying. Overall, highly recommended, I will stay with Meininger again.

    My only suggestion is that a room safe would be a great addition. Otherwise, no issues.

    Nice place close to train station
    When traveling by train this is a good location. Walking distance even with luggage (without luggage you travel easily by tram in Bordeaux). Friendly staff and nice facilities.
    When building activities close by are finished this will be even better!
